Comment: ex Robert J. Nowakowski Mineral Collection, Ajoite is a copper-based silicate that appears in specimens almost exclusively as inclusions inside quartz crystals. The beautiful turquoise greenish blue color is stunning. Our specimen is contacted on the back, but faces up beautifully especially with the iron oxide inclusions that add additional character. A pretty little " student" crystal, terminated, sits parallel to the main crystal, measuring 26 mm long, and has about the densest color saturation imaginable. A gorgeous specimen.
Minerals: Ajoite Quartz (SiO2)
