Comment: A DRAMATIC, very attractive, elongate, LARGE CABINET calcite plate from recent finds at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. Sharp, lustrous, and translucent, amber-colored, dogtooth calcite crystals are partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal, hematite phantoms. Crystals reach 5.8 cm on this piece. The vast majority of the calcites are in great shape, and the periphery wear is absolutely minimal on this impressive large piece. It looks like modern art! this is one of the best large plates from this new find of 2008 that i saw. i did not see more available at tucson 2009 and i assume the find was finished off
Minerals: Calcite (CaCO3) Hematite
