Comment: A HUGE crystal of PURE GEM spodumene, of a gorgeous pastel yellow-green color. You could cut a great many fine gems from this 200-gram beauty, as the interior is just about flawless from end to end, and it is fairly thick too, up to 1.5 cm thick in places. It has the typical jagged and terraced growth; one end is terminated, and the other is partially terminated. From the pics, just about all you can see is its clarity (though even this is much greater in person - it is glass-clear). What you cannot see is that it has glassy FACES as well - just wonderful luster - and the pretty lemon-lime color. Nearly impossible to shoot, so the pics do not do it any justice; therefore this one we GUARANTEE to satisfy, no matter how much you end up paying for it! Note this is so well terminated that the previous owner thought it to be modern Afghani material until a gem dealer, Ty Lawrence, informed that collector that he got it in Brazil and sold it 10 years ago! For Resplendor, it has thus more importance.

Minerals: Spodumene (LiAlSi2O6)
