Comment: A neat large cabinet piece of "sand selenite" from this prolific locality! The specimen consists of inter-connected doubly terminated sand coated gypsum crystals to 3 cm. No matrix. Measures 23.5 x 18.2 x 6.4 cm in size overall and has crystals all around. Minor damage is present and to be expected on something like this; overall I feel that this is in very good shape. Good large specimens like this from Jet are not often seen available today. (Note: small piece broke off and is logged as #503).

Minerals: Gypsum (CaSO4 2(H2O)) Selenite
