Comment: A specimen otherwise known as volcanic glass, from California. It almost looks like man-made slag but is of course natural volcanic igneous rock - great for demonstrating to kiddies! Small cristobalite crystals are also present inside the obsidian bubbles. E. Clifford Joseph collection.
