Comment: Tucson. Seymchan meteorite was originally found in 1967, in a brook-bed flowing into the river of Hekandue, a left tributary of the river of Jasachnaja of the Magadan district, USSR. Coordinates: 62 degrees 54 minutes North / 152 degrees 26 minutes East. It were found two masses total 351 kg. The larger specimen (about 300 kg) has been found by the geologist F. A. Mednikov during a geological survey. The smaller specimen (about 51 kg) was found at a distance of 20 m from the first one by I. H. Markov. The meteorite was originally classified as coarse octahedrite, bandwidth 2.0 mm (IIE Iron). The main mass was turned to the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
