Comment: This HUGE plate of chrysocolla has the most unique color to it: a beautiful emerald green, and it is transparent into the surface, with high luster reflecting off the botryoidal forms. The contrasting black mineral is heterogenite - the matrix is solid heterogenite, in fact, with the chrysocolla having formed a layer on it.
Minerals: Chrysocolla ((Cu,Al)2H2Si2O5(OH)4 n(H2O)) Heterogenite-2H (Co+++O(OH))
